Shuttle services and rental car options are available at the airports for convenient onward travel to our retreat.

👶 Families with Young Children
- The space is not fully childproofed — please supervise young children at all times, particularly on the stairs.
- Stair safety gates are available for guests to install if needed for added peace of mind.
- A playpen with bassinet is provided for guests' convenience — use is entirely at your own risk as we do not regularly check for defects or recalls.
- High chair and children's dinnerware available.

🔒 Security & Monitoring
- For the protection of the property, security cameras are located at the front door, garage/driveway, and patio entrance, and record both video and audio — connected to the alarm system and actively monitored.
- No cameras or recording devices are located inside the home.
- Noise monitors on premises — measure decibel level only, no audio recording.
- Thermostat sensors in each room measure temperature only, to ensure a comfortable environment.

🪵 Wood Burning Stove
- The main level features a wood-burning stove for decorative purposes only — please do not attempt to operate it for heating or cooking.

🐾 Nature Advisory
- Given our woodland location, encounters with insects and wildlife are a natural part of the experience.
- The property is professionally treated for pests on a regular basis.
- We cannot fully safeguard against nature — we encourage guests to embrace the beauty of the surroundings while being mindful of local insects and wildlife.

❄️ Winter Travel Advisory
- AWD or 4WD vehicle highly recommended during winter or when snow is forecasted.
- West Virginia does an excellent job keeping main roads open during winter weather — during snowstorms, we recommend remaining in place until it is safe to travel.
- We recommend trip insurance to protect your travel plans.

Independent guest verification is required within 24 hours of booking acceptance
-Security Deposit:
• 27 nights or less: $400
• 28 night +: $800
Security deposits will be collected 2 days before check-in and refunded 2 days after checkout, provided no damage is reported
-Rental Agreement:
Required for reservations 28+ nights

💧 Water & Utilities
- The property operates on well water and a septic system.
- Well water is treated through several filtration stages, including iron filtration and UV treatment.
- Guests who are sensitive to well water are welcome to bring their own drinking water.
- As the property is on a septic system, please only flush toilet paper — do not flush wipes, feminine products, paper towels, or any other items, as this can cause serious damage to the system.

- A generous starter supply of toiletries, kitchen towels, paper products, and cleaning and laundry supplies is provided — guests should bring or purchase additional supplies for longer stays.
